स्टडी हॉल ने आयोजित किया 13वां मॉडल यूनाइटेड नेशंस कॉन्फ्रेंस (SHMUN)
लखनऊ, 12 अक्टूबर 2025: स्टडी हॉल ने 11 और 12 अक्टूबर 2025 को अपना 13वां मॉडल यूनाइटेड नेशंस कॉन्फ्रेंस (SHMUN) आयोजित किया। इस कार्यक्रम में 8 स्कूलों के 120 से अधिक छात्र-छात्राओं ने हिस्सा लिया, जिनमें विबग्योर, CMS गोमती नगर, ला मार्टिनिएरे गर्ल्स कॉलेज और स्टडी हॉल स्कूल शामिल थे। इसके अलावा इमार्ट, M.R. जयपुरिया स्कूल और सेंट फ्रांसिस स्कूल से व्यक्तिगत प्रतिभागियों ने भी हिस्सा लिया।
इस वर्ष का विषय था Per Angusta Ad Augusta — “कठिनाइयों के माध्यम से सम्मान तक।” SHMUN में पांच समितियाँ थीं, जिनमें इंटरनेशनल प्रेस कमेटी, लोक सभा, संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार परिषद, संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद और दो संयुक्त संकट समितियाँ शामिल थीं। सम्मेलन दो दिनों तक आयोजित किया गया ताकि सभी प्रक्रियाओं का पालन किया जा सके और छात्र तुरंत समाधान निकाल सकें।
SHMUN संयुक्त राष्ट्र की कार्यप्रणाली का अनुकरण करता है। छात्र विभिन्न देशों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं, विषयों पर शोध करते हैं, प्रस्ताव तैयार करते हैं और विचार-विमर्श कर समाधान पर पहुंचने की कोशिश करते हैं। प्रतिभागी भाषण देते हैं, सहयोगी गठित करते हैं और आधिकारिक नियमों के तहत काम करते हैं।
इस वर्ष के SHMUN के प्रमुख और स्टडी हॉल के छात्र, ज्योतिर्मय ने कहा, “SHMUN हमें वास्तविक विश्व मुद्दों को समझने और देशों के सहयोग से समाधान निकालने का अवसर देता है। इस सम्मेलन का नेतृत्व करना चुनौतीपूर्ण लेकिन संतोषजनक अनुभव रहा।”
SHEF की संस्थापक और CEO, डॉ. उर्वशी साहनी ने कहा, “SHMUN केवल एक सम्मेलन नहीं है; यह ऐसा मंच है जहां युवा प्रतिभाएँ नेतृत्व, आत्मविश्वास और समझदारी विकसित करती हैं। इस तरह की पहल स्टडी हॉल की उस प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है जिसमें हम छात्रों को जिम्मेदार और सोच-समझकर दुनिया में भाग लेने के लिए तैयार करते हैं।”
प्रधानाचार्य, मीनाक्षी बहादुर ने कहा, “हमारे छात्र नेतृत्व की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं और वैश्विक मुद्दों में गहराई से शामिल हो रहे हैं। SHMUN छात्रों में आत्मविश्वास, सोचने की क्षमता और टीमवर्क बढ़ाने का मंच है।”
Study Hall Hosts 13th Model United Nations Conference (SHMUN)
Lucknow, October 12, 2025: Study Hall conducted the 13th edition of its Model United Nations Conference (SHMUN) on October 11–12, 2025. Over 120 students from eight schools, including Vibgyor, CMS Gomti Nagar, La Martiniere Girls College, and Study Hall School, participated, along with individual delegates from Imart, M.R. Jaipuria School, and St. Francis School.
This year’s theme was Per Angusta Ad Augusta — “Through Difficulties to Honors.” SHMUN featured five committees, including the International Press Committee, covering topics from global security to human rights. Other committees included the Lok Sabha, United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Security Council, and two Joint Crisis Committees. The conference was held over two days to allow students to follow proper procedures and develop solutions on the spot.
SHMUN simulates the United Nations. Students represent countries, research topics, draft resolutions, and debate to reach consensus. Delegates give speeches, negotiate, and form alliances while working under formal Rules of Procedure. Roles include delegates, speakers, and chairs, all collaborating to find practical solutions.
Jyotirmay, a Study Hall student and head of this year’s SHMUN, said, “SHMUN gives us the chance to understand real-world issues and learn how countries work together to solve them. Leading this conference has been a challenging and rewarding experience.”
Dr. Urvashi Sahni, Founder and CEO of SHEF, said, “SHMUN is more than a conference; it is a space where young minds develop the skills, confidence, and empathy needed to become thoughtful leaders.
